So I am at my parents place for a few days. As soon as we got out to the country there was a deep sense of relief as if something in my spirit took a deep breath.
I find the country has always healed me in times of desperate longing and need. There is something more than comforting when it comes to wide open spaces, beautiful oak trees, and open fields. I also have Ivy (our house dog) out here with me and for the first time today she was let off her leash in the outdoors. I can not explain the phenomenon that happened to us both. We both ran, ran as fast as we could with no restraints, nothing keeping us tied down, just freedom and space and stillness. No wonder Christ would retreat into the wilderness.
I hope everyone can find freedom from their metaphorical leash, and find the freedom to run.
Some stuff has happened...
